don't let me go i'm not ready i'm not ready don't tell me no i'm not listening i'm not listening to the power of suggestion on the untrained mind the chains of the adult world are tied to me please it's not my fault tv lied to me now when you make yourself blind looking at the sun when you go to sleep you never really know when you go to sleep nobody can follow their mind as it plunges into the silk womb of the absolute you get infinite lives unlimited time nothing quantized or objectified but the there's this beeiping in your head and it won't stop you think it's the ikea truck backing into your driveway but it's the alarm clock and it's connected to your spine and you wake up you're not in the sitcom it's a documentary they never stop making don't sell me smokes trust with a god filter don't tell mee jokes i'm not laughing noone's laughing at the pale reflection in the lying glass we'll burn your grumbling hive we're not lying you won't take us alive we're not buying your smooth transition to the holes in our spine it's like you're driving down a street you pull a u-turn and coming back everything's different it's not even the same street anymore time is no longer an independent variable there's this beeping in yoru heart and it's getting louder you try to drown it out with the stereo but the shrill frequency shatters your windows you try to escape but every street you turn down ends in a cul de sac and you wake up you're not in the sitcom it's a documentary they never stop making about a search for something that can't be found from the cervix to the cold cold ground

there's a job opening on the 3rd floor of the 1st world turning cherries into bombs but what ever happened to those who did not fill out these concrete floor order forms? i'll bet your smart cars they died in their art barns keeping their heads warm the fire in their minds you can start your own business on the 1st floor of the 3rd world looking for quarters in a minefield but where are the refugees who did not stand in line for this iron fist fuck? i'll bet your smart cars they died in their art barns banging their heads on the walls of the maze

half eaten erasers the main course of pleasure missing vitals delicate rapture wrapped for no reason in a veil of intent this intent of dissent is in no way under obligation to reveal itself as true as the dawn the dawn dawn breaking many a time clueless to the world around him my inner child pining for the conform and sanctuary of the womb will issue a receding flank under covers to while away hours more vital than one is likely to actuate value upon values once held dear now cast away like unloved worth values once held dear now clearly absurd what of the poets? what of the love they hold dear? what of the cowards? what of the love that they fear? what of the love we won't hear? like so many before us have we fold fold away life fold away fear fold away control of ourselves folded away in cupboards and sock drawers and backyard tool sheds folded away dreams shot down from their flight until we lose all memory of them and forget where we put them all

you’re in the same place at the same time but everything is different like a dream you realize when you wake up that nothing is ever what it seems what it seems stop to enjoy the scenery that's passing in your mind ‘cause what you see with your eyes closed will make you wish you were blind you’ll wish you’re blind you'll put out the fire in the skies with the water in your eyes when you realize fade out fade in wear out wear thin i'm building a bridge to the edge of extinction and when i get there i'll send you a postcard with words that ignore themselves ignore themselves you'll put out the fire in the skies with the water in your eyes when you realize when i was young i'd hide myself in the shadow of someone else only time would tell i was one of those life's a journey people you were one of those where you going people we would never get that far

the smell of the grease on the factory floor fills the air like carbon monoxide you don't notice but it puts your dreams to sleep and the rain dilutes the morning bus stop “i love you”s are washed away into culverts and concrete streams you can tell what street you're walking on by the smell of the garbage and the homeless hands outstretched asking, “man, can you throw another dime in my cup?” ‘cause the cigarette tax just went up and the fine print on the side of the cup says this product was made in canada by people who were silently dreaming of florida and sex in the summer we feel like fish in the ditches live their whole lives in culverts and concrete streams never taste a lake, drinking our piss and poison but we still feel at home if we keep our eyes closed while the rain filters through the rusted out barbecues peeling away stickers that say this product was made by people who were silently cursing you for greasing the corporate ladder with their sweat turning the crank that makes the world turn faster turning the crank that makes the world die sooner turning the gears adding grease to our fire you've got your ivory towers but our suicide bridge is higher we all want change thank you for shopping at the grease machine here's your change we don't want change and the bus that drives to the factory at 9 drives my red blood

found myself over the water with one foot on the bridge and the other in the air and i'm an author in the middle of a sentence trying to decide where the story ends and sometimes i feel like the end is near it's coming sometimes i feel like another year wasted she said she loved me but i was deaf and she was blind i thought that i loved her but i didn't know a love that expired with time thought i saw beauty in the rivers and the sunset thought i saw love in a lover's eyes but everything i've seen all my hopes and dreams are locked inside my fucked up mind sometimes i feel like the end is near it's coming sometimes i feel like another year wasted if i'm the only working part in this broken machine, what am i working for? cause i feel so useless don't you feel so useless sometimes? sometimes i feel like the end is near it's coming sometimes i feel like another year wasted sometimes i feel like living but i'm too tired

we stare at the ads maybe we'll all get cell phones with cameras that send text say nothing to anyone these people have nothing to offer just reside in your inner thoughts believe in the power of distance believe the inertia of acquiescence

life is like being dropped from the sky euphoric for a second and then you die but we're still floating and we don't know why this is like watching the murderer die you laugh for a second and then you cry you know that it's over but you don't know why you don't know me you don't know me there's no hell you can show me falling in love falling from a plane 40 seconds of airtime is not worth the pain but we still jump out when we hear our names you don't know me you don't know me there's no hell you can show me life is like being dropped from the sky it's horror for a second and then you die but we're still falling and we don't know why you don't know me you don't know me there's no hell you can show me
