it's a documentary they never stop making

it's like you're driving down a street
you pull a u-turn and coming back everything's different

time is no longer an independent variable

but the shrill frequency shatters your windows
you try to escape but every street you turn down
ends in a cul de sac and you wake up

you're not in the sitcom
it's a documentary they never stop making
about a search for something that can't be found
from the cervix to the cold cold ground
